1952 Trifari 'Twinkling Star' Necklace and Bracelet - Design Patent Book Reference
This lovely vintage set is a true reflection of the 'real look' in costume jewelry in the 1950s. This glittery rhinestone offering from Trifari is called 'Twinkling Star,' and it was featured back in its day as a lovely Christmas gift for Mom (see advertisement). Both pieces were also design patented by Alfred Philippe, in 1952 (see patents).
The necklace is approximately 15" long, and features a swirling baguette and diamond-shaped rhinestone design, in goldtone. The necklace itself is made of clear rhinestone chain (not adjustable). The necklace is signed PAT. PEND. on the reverse (see photo).
The bracelet is approximately 2.25" across when closed. It is made from 3 connected pieces, so it will adjust somewhat to your wrist. The bracelet is signed TRIFARI PAT PEND on the back of the clasp (see photo).
Both of these pieces are in excellent vintage condition! There may be a few stones on the chain that are not quite as bright as they used to be, but that is to be expected when you are 70 years old, don't you think?
